Welcome to our men’s ministry. RE.T.R.E.A.D. for Christ is a men’s ministry focused on transforming others by transforming ourselves in Christ. Our purpose is to become biblical men by following the example of Jesus Christ. As believers, we are all retreads in one shape, form, or fashion, created anew in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
We strongly believe that through the study and application of God’s Word we can make a difference in the world in which we live. Our meetings are filled with fellowship, singing praises to God, sharing individual testimonies, and enjoying presentations on topics to enhance our growth in Christ.
Meaning of Name:
Retread - To make over as if new. Source: Merriam-Webster Dictionary
· RE = Renew (Rebirth, Rededicate, Remake, Retool).
· T = Teaching
· R = Reaching
· E = Encouraging
· A = Accountability
· D = Development
Statement of Faith:
We believe that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is the foundational rock and cornerstone of what it means to be a man. By following His example, we can begin fulfilling God’s expectation for each one of us.
Guiding Verse:
Ephesians 4:22-24
22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. (ESV)
