Daniel Lee - Pastor

Daniel Lee became the Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in January 2006. Pastor Daniel is married to Karen (1985) and together they have two grown daughters, Rachel (Michael) Holtzclaw and Heather (Justin) Barrett. They have one granddaughter (Charlee) and another one on the way due in August.

Pastor Daniel is originally from south Mississippi and was raised in Louisiana and Alabama, where he became a diehard "Roll Tide" fan. After graduation from High School, he joined the United States Air Force and served for eight years. He is a veteran of Desert Storm and was deployed to several Middle Eastern countries.

After his time in the Air Force, Pastor Daniel entered the full time ministry after being ordained in December 1991. He has served churches in South Carolina and Louisiana.

His education endeavors consist of degrees from Community College of the Air Force, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and North Greenville University.

Our pastor drives a pickup with a tool box and is a handyman of all sorts where not only does he repair things, he loves to help people repair their relationship with God through evangelism and discipleship.

His life verse is “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 NKJV

Michael Lining - Minister of Music

Michael Lining joined Bethel as Minister of Music in September of 2018. He holds a Master of Arts in Church Music from Bob Jones University, and a Bachelors of Music Education from Pensacola Christian College. He and his wife Mandy have been married since June 2011 and have a 5 year old son named Caleb "Boo." Michael has served in several area churches and has a Youtube channel of his singing arrangements. He has also published several CD's and works with his wife Mandy on writing and arranging more Christian music.

Philosophy of music ministry
"I believe that gathered Christian worship should be an exciting time of singing praises to God, with uplifted hearts and voices together worshipping our Savior in His beauty and majesty. Singing should be exultant and vibrant. I believe that congregational singing is a cornerstone of an effective church. I strive to bring energy and vitality to the song service; and as such, recommend music that uplifts God’s name and character, spirited traditional hymns of the faith, Gospel/Southern Gospel, and modern praise/worship music that is energetic but not shallow or lacking in sound doctrine. My style is blended but I avoid using styles similar to heavy/excessively loud rock’n’roll, or characteristically non-Christian music (i.e. disco or club like atmosphere) in worship. I lead music from the piano or guitar, and present music where the entire congregation can be involved."
